Guidelines for Parents

Parents and guardians are expected to co- operate with the school in enforcing regularity and discipline in the children: seeing that they prepare their lessons at home and take active and helpful interest in the activities of the school.

Parents are particularly expected to sign the occasional reports from the teachers which are conveniently made in the school diary. These should be seen and undersigned regularly. Failure to do so may put the children to great inconvenience.

Criticism of students, teachers or school in his/ her presence should be studiously avoided, because it causes, the students to lose his/ her respect for the teacher, with the consequent failure to learn from him /her. If you have a legitimate complaint, see the Principal and settle it.

Withdrawals of your child from classes for mere social functions is not recommended, because it retards the child’s progress in the school and minimizes his /her respect for regular hard work with consequent failure to progress in studies.

No school business will be transacted on Sundays and holidays.

Parents are requested to come along with their wards and the school diary when they come to meet the teachers. Send your children smartly dressed to school. Neat dress is an integral part of the child’s outfit and your child should be found always in clean dress. See that your child reaches the school well in time.

For good health instruct your children to keep their body clean and physically fit. The old proverb says “Sound mind in a Sound body.”

Once the child comes to the school he/she will not be allowed to leave the school before the school gets over. Hence request for half a day leave, short leave etc. Will not be entertained.

In case of emergency the parents/ guardian will have to collect the ward personally.

Parents/ guardians/ visitors are not allowed to enter the classrooms to meet students or interview the teachers during the school hours. In case of an urgent need for meeting the students or teachers the principal is to be contacted. Parents/ guardians are earnestly requested to check the note book and the diary of the students regularly and help the school to maintain a high standard. Phone calls for teachers or students during class hours will not be entertained.

This diary is an essential part of the every student’s outfit. It should be brought to the school every day.

All entries of absence, late coming, dress code etc. Should be made in the diary. Such is to be dully signed by the teacher – incharge well in advance.

If the leave of absence exceeds two days. A written application is to be sent to the principal and the leave has to be sanctioned by the principal.

The parents are requested to keep a strict watch over their child to see if he/she ever brings home stolen property: they are asked to provide their child with sufficient things so that he/she need not resort to stealing or any other unhealthy practices.
